Axell Hodges Biography
Axell Hodges is the son of Darrell Hodges, a motorcycle builder who competed in motocross from the 1970s to 1990s. After winning the Amateur National Motocross Championship, Slay won the 2007 AMA Motocross title. He also competed for four years on the 250cc motocross circuit with Red Bull KTM in both the U.S. and Europe. Then he joined Team USA and raced in the 2012 FIM Enduro World Series as well as 2014 and 2015 Red Bull Global Rallycross Championships.
Axell’s father, Darrell, started his own motorcycle shop in 1992 called Slay Racing. After winning the 2001 AMA Supermoto Championship, Axell took over management of Slay Racing and changed the name to Axell Racing Inc. Axell now manages Axell Racing Inc., while still competing in events himself.
